Installation Instructions - Vinyl Panels

PRIOR TO INSTALL: Read entire instructions. Remove the decal from the shipping package and lay out on a flat surface. It is best to allow the decal to lay flat and acclimate to room temperatures for 24 hours. May use light books to keep decal flat.

YOU WILL NEED: A Buddy/friend/pal/bestie, a clean cloth, painter’s tape, scissors and squeegee/credit card & measuring tape

Be sure to install your PoolTattooz graphic panel to a smooth/semi-smooth, clean surface. Sticking your graphic panel to a rough or dirty surface will cause damage to your product. 

** Vinyl graphic panels should not be used on any sidewalls that have been painted (after market) or sidewalls with rust.  Please visit our website and select the magnetic application/version of your favorite graphic if you’ve painted or have visible rust. **

Step 1 - Clean surface using a slightly damp cloth to remove dust & dirt from the area you want to apply the graphic panel. Make sure the wall or surface is free of any lose debris. For BEST adhesion, allow wall or surface to fully dry.

Step 2 - Measure the section of your steel/aluminum exterior sidewall. Lay your panel on a flat surface and trim your new PoolTattooz graphic panel to fit the space (measure twice, cut once). 

Step 3 - Using painter’s tape, secure each corner of your decal in place on the wall or surface where it will be applied. Once you’re happy with the position of the graphic panel, remove tape from one side of the graphic panel and peel back the white backing material (bottom sheet) about 8-12”, cut white backer with scissors and carefully lower the graphic to the sidewall, smoothing with your hand to avoid wrinkles and bubbles.  Remove the painter’s tape from the opposite corners of the graphic panel and continue to peel back the white backing material as you smooth the panel to the sidewall with your hand. 

Step 4 – Once your new graphic panel has been applied to your pool, discard the white backing material and smooth the full panel with a clean cloth, squeegee or credit card to remove all bubbles/wrinkles.

If you apply the entire panel then step back to take a look only to discover it’s crooked, not centered or needs adjustment, quickly remove the panel then reposition to your liking.  The adhesive is pressure and time sensitive so the longer the panel is on your pool, the more difficult it will be to adjust without compromising the graphic material.

If an air bubble is stuck, use a small needle to pierce a tiny hole in the center of the bubble then push the air out.
