Installation Instructions - Panels with Adhesive Strips
PRIOR TO INSTALL: Read entire instructions. Remove your new graphic panel from the shipping package and lay out on a flat surface. It is best to allow the decal to lay flat and acclimate to room temperatures for 24 hours. May use light books to keep decal flat.
YOU WILL NEED: A clean cloth, painter’s tape, scissors and measuring tape
Be sure to install your PoolTattooz graphic panel to a smooth/semi-smooth, clean surface. Sticking your graphic panel to a rough or dirty surface will cause damage to the provided adhesive strips.
Step 1 - Clean surface of pool wall(s) using a slightly damp cloth to remove dust & dirt from the area you want to apply the graphic panel. Make sure the wall or surface is free of any lose debris. For BEST adhesion, allow wall or surface to fully dry.
Step 2 - Measure the section of your steel/aluminum exterior sidewall. Lay your panel on a flat surface and trim your new PoolTattooz graphic panel to fit the space (measure twice, cut once 😉).
Step 3 - With your graphic panel still on a flat surface, cut a 12" adhesive strip (provided) in half so you have (2) 6" strips. Remove the backing from one side of the strip and apply 6" of tape horizontally along the top edge, about 3" from the corner then apply the second 6" strip of tape vertically along edge, about 3" from the top corner. Repeat process for all remaining corners.
IMPORTANT: Do not peel off both backings of adhesive tape at this time.
Step 4 - Using painter’s tape, secure each corner of your decal in place on the pool wall or surface where it will be applied. Step back and take a look. Once you’re happy with the position of the graphic panel, remove the painter's tape from one corner then remove the white backing paper from both adhesive strips then smooth the corner of the panel onto your pool wall with your hand. Repeat process for remaining corners.
